Once saved, use CTRK key plus the letter X. towards the button of your window it show that you are about to save the file. So once you have the text on your file matching what they said to, you will hit the CTRL key plus the letter O key. They are useful also to keep a line of code in a file but keeping it for later in case you need it later. They are used to make comments in code that the system doesn't try to process as commands. The # symbols tell the system to ignore anything on that line. you willl need to use the cursor keys to scroll down the file until you find those sections and edit them such that it looks like the text they tell you. once you hit the ENTER key, the nano editor should open up that file. nano is the name of the text editor that you are telling it to open the file config.txt that is stored in the /boot folder. What that does is the following: sudo gives you rights that you wouldn't normally have as a regular user.
